Middle school is an ideal time for young people to explore careers and better understand their own interests and aptitudes. Britebound partnered with the Association of Middle Level Educators to create ~~a playbook designed specifically for career exploration in the middle grades~~. You’ll also find toolkits, sample lesson plans, worksheets, and more through ~~CareerReady Library~~, a curated database of high-quality resources for educators, practitioners, and decision-makers supporting youth career readiness.

The Counseling and Career Development Division of the Association for Career and Technical Education offers leadership, advocacy, and ~~a wide range of resources~~ for counsellors and career development professionals. They provide helpful tools to support students exploring all types of postsecondary education and training. ~~Many states also offer professional learning opportunities~~ so educators can stay current on career trends, best practices, and emerging pathways.

Employers play a key role in any work-based learning program, yet many educators aren’t sure how to begin outreach or identify the right contacts. Time constraints and differences in how schools and businesses communicate can also make the process challenging. These resources can help: ~~a collection of work-based learning tools~~ within the CareerReadyHQ Library; and the ~~experience.work~~ platform, which highlights stories, practical guidance, and tools to support profession-based learning in your community.

Yes. Britebound provides free digital tools, like Futurescape, that educators can use or recommend to engage learners in exploring careers, building skills, and preparing for the future—both in and outside the classroom. In addition, Britebound and the Britebound Center for Career Navigation at JFF support several other digital tools that educators can integrate into instruction or share directly. Together, these tools help learners identify strengths, explore pathways, understand training options, and make more informed decisions about what comes next. They’re designed to complement existing career exploration efforts and offer engaging, easy-to-use ways to plan next steps with confidence.
