However, with less than half of Gen Z reporting that they had enough information to decide what postsecondary pathway they want to pursue, it’s critical to forge connections between students, schools, programs, and employers. Intermediaries are organizations or entities that facilitate collaboration between educational institutions, aspiring workers, and industry partners to provide smooth and beneficial work-based learning opportunities.
With so many moving parts needed for work-based learning programs, Britebound is proud to support organizations like Hawaii Workforce Pipeline Inc and Tarrant To & Through Partnership, which serve as intermediaries connecting learners, schools, and employers to provide young people with valuable work-based learning opportunities.

Closing the Classroom-Career Gap
Hawaii Workforce Pipeline is an organization dedicated to utilizing their partnerships with local businesses to create hands-on and virtual work-based learning experiences for Hawaii’s students. Through their programming, they’re putting kids on the path to meaningful careers that offer sustainable, living wages or high earning potential, whether that’s through college, the military, skilled trades, and entrepreneurship.
Through their role as an intermediary, Hawaii Workforce Pipeline serves as a bridge between students and industries by identifying and coordinating opportunities, such as internships, in-person and virtual career fairs, career-focused field trips, and more.

With their grant from Britebound, Hawaii Workforce Pipeline is expanding their efforts as intermediaries to coordinate career-connected learning experiences for the Windward School District.
Supporting Postsecondary Success
Tarrant To & Through Partnership (T3) is an organization dedicated to improving student outcomes by increasing the number of high school graduates who are college, career, or military ready, helping learners confidently enroll in a postsecondary pathway, and empowering more students to earn a degree or credential.
The partnership consists of local school districts, colleges, universities, employers, and organizations across Tarrant County, all of which provide programs designed to help students and families make confident, educated decisions about their future. One way they’re doing this is through their Pathways to Careers (P2C), a digital, interactive platform that bridges the gaps between schools, parents, and young people to the workforce.
